  8.             PROBLEM  : The new Token-Ring IPX drivers:

  10.   IBM Token-Ring V2.50 (900515) V2.50
  11.   Self Configurable

  13. will cause the shell to be unable to find a file server if the IBM Token-Ring 
  14. Adapter 16/4 is set for a 8KB "RAM Size and Address Range".
  15.   
  16. If the adapter is set to the "normal" 16KB RAM Size and Address Range, then 
  17. the shell will locate and attach to a file server fine.
  18.   
  19. I have verified this at 2 sites with file servers running:
  20.         Adv NetWare 286 2.15A, 2.21 Token Ring driver.
  21.         Adv NetWare 286 2.12,  2.21 Token Ring driver.
  22.         Adv NetWare 286 2.15   2.50 Token Ring driver.

  34. This is important, since many people run their adapaters at 8KB RAM size to
  35. free up more RAM.

  37.            SOLUTION  :  This problem has been reported to Engineering.  The 
  38. only solution at this time is to run the 16/4 card at the 16KB buffer size 
  39. setting.
